About Megan

Megan was drawn to studying Physiotherapy from a keen interest in sport, exercise and science, as well as the desire to work with and help people.

Growing up in Brisbane, QLD, she first studied Human Movement Science at University of Queensland followed by Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University.

Megan graduated in 2013 and worked in a private practice in Brisbane for 3 years before moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2015, and after a 12 month working holiday in London, getting married and having a daughter, then returned to the coast in 2020.

Megan enjoys running and triathlon, teaching and participating in Clinical Pilates classes, and incorporating exercise into her treatments to help patients find a love of exercise.

You’ll find me in my spare time: At any of our beautiful beaches, parks or cafes with my husband and daughter.

My philosophy on Physiotherapy: I believe Physiotherapy to be about assisting people to move well, confidently and without pain. A big component of this is to give people the knowledge and tools to reduce injury/re-injury and lead healthier and more active lives.

Favourite place on the Sunshine Coast: Currimundi Lake or Dicky Beach.

“I love helping patients to improve in their movement, achieve goals, and feel great, and motivating others to get the most out of their bodies and enjoy an active life." - Megan Esdale, Embody Movement Physiotherapist.
