Our exercise classes are designed to help you build strength, improve fitness and support your wellbeing in a way that feels achievable and sustainable.
If you don’t feel comfortable in a traditional gym environment but still want to move more, you’re in the right place. Our classes are welcoming, inclusive, and designed to help you feel at ease. Led by Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, our supportive small group classes focus on safe, effective movement guided by professionals who understand how the body moves and how to exercise safely.
Classes include Strength & Functional Fitness, Senior’s Strength & Fitness, Hybrid Pilates & Gym, Balance & Bones and Small Group Strength Training.

Strength & Functional Fitness classes
Led by an experienced Exercise Physiologist, this class offers a circuit-style workout in the gym (no Pilates). This class combines a variety of strength and cardio exercises to deliver a balanced and effective session, tailored to help clients build bone density, improve strength and cardiovascular fitness.
Ideal for: Anyone who wants to increase their general strength, lose weight, improve bone health or improve fitness.
Class length: 45 minutes.

Seniors Strength & Fitness classes
A bit of fun and a bit of fitness! Our Seniors Strength & Fitness class is designed to improve base strength, postural stability and overall movement confidence through gentle, resistance-based exercises.
Run in a circuit-style format, this class features a set program aimed at enhancing strength for everyday tasks, such as lifting, reaching, and maintaining balance. With a maximum of 12 participants, it provides a supportive and enjoyable environment to stay active and strong.
Ideal for: Anyone over 60 years old.
Class length: 45 minutes.

Hybrid classes (Pilates & Gym)
Our Hybrid Class offers a circuit-style blend of gym-based strength training and Pilates. This affordable option provides the muscle-strengthening benefits of strength training alongside the flexibility and balance-enhancing aspects of Pilates, creating a well-rounded workout. Ideal for: Anyone who wants an extra challenge or to increase their strength and flexibility.
Class length: 50 minutes.

Balance & Bones class
Taught by our Physiotherapist, this class focuses on resistance-based and balance exercises. The class is designed to help to promote the improvement of bone density, balance and coordination in order to prevent falls. If you’re looking for osteoporosis exercises, this class is for you! Balance and Bones is run in a circuit style but with a focus on falls prevention and clients with osteoporosis. Maximum 12 participants.
Ideal for: Clients wanting to reduce risk of falls and improve bone health.
Class length: 50 minutes.

Small Group Strength Training
Our Small Group Strength Training class offers a highly individualised approach to strength and functional fitness, held in the gym (no Pilates).
Led by our experienced Exercise Physiologist, these small, client-specific classes focus on exercise programs tailored to each participant’s unique needs and goals.
Ideal for: Anyone wanting personalised attention for maximum results.
Class length: 30 minutes.

Lift To Last
A small-group strength class focused on progressive resistance training to support bone health and long-term muscle strength, particularly during and after menopause.
Led by an Exercise Physiologist, this class emphasises correct technique in key functional lifts, helping you build confidence, protect your joints, and develop real, lasting strength in a safe and supportive environment
Ideal for: Anyone wanting to support bone health and improve strength.

Our exercise studios in Currimundi
We have beautiful and functional movement spaces at our Currimundi practice. With quality equipment and room to move, we have a Strength and Fitness gym and a full Clinical Pilates studio.
Our Strength and Fitness gym space has cardio equipment such as a rowing machine, as well as functional equipment including battle ropes, slam balls, jump boxes and free weights. We also have squat racks, bars and benches, kettlebells and dumbbells.
All class participants are required to sign a Class Waiver and Agreement prior to beginning classes at Embody Movement.
Bookings are essential for all classes
For individualised classes such as Small Group Strength, we require you to attend an initial consultation to discuss your goals and any injury, pain or medical conditions before commencing classes.
