Embody Movement offers a range of exercise classes designed to help you improve your strength, fitness and overall well-being.

All fitness classes are led by professionally trained Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, ensuring that you receive expert guidance and support throughout your fitness journey.

With their extensive knowledge and experience, our dedicated instructors will assist you in achieving your movement and fitness goals.

Safe and effective exercise classes

Whatever your body is experiencing, Embody Movement can support you to exercise safely and effectively.

Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists have in-depth knowledge of the body, its mechanics and a wide range of exercise techniques. This expertise allows them to tailor workouts to meet individual needs and address specific concerns, such as injuries or medical conditions.

Whether you're a beginner, are returning to exercise after injury or childbirth, have a chronic health condition or just want to become fitter and stronger, we can help. Our friendly team can provide any adjustments or modifications to ensure you exercise safely. We also offer Pilates classes and Yoga classes.


Strength & Functional Fitness classes

Embody Movement Strength and Functional Fitness classes are taken by our Exercise Physiologists. 

Run in a circuit style, this class utilises an assortment of strength and cardio equipment such as the rower, jumpbox, steps, weights, kettlebells, battle rope, squat rack, TRX and slam balls to ensure you get a good workout. 

Our Strength and Functional Fitness classes in Currimundi and Forest Glen are appropriate for clients with minimal restrictions in movement.

  • Ideal for: Anyone who wants to increase their general strength, lose weight, improve bone health or improve fitness. 

  • Locations: Caloundra/Currimundi and Forest Glen.

  • Class length: 50 minutes.

  • Health fund claimable: Yes (if applicable).


Group Strength Training (semi-private training)

Our Group Strength Training classes are taken by an experienced Exercise Physiologist. Focusing on strength and functional fitness, these classes are kept small and client-specific. 

Each participant is taken through their own exercise program personalised for their needs and goals for an individualised strength and fitness workout. Maximum 3 participants per class.

Tailored towards your goal and modified for any injury or condition, these classes are ideal for anyone returning to exercise, with pain or injury or requiring modification within their program. 

  • Ideal for: Anyone wanting personalised attention for maximum results. 

  • Locations: Caloundra/Currimundi and Forest Glen.

  • Class length: 30 minutes.

  • Health fund claimable: Yes (if applicable).


Seniors Strength and Fitness classes

A bit of fun and a bit of fitness! Our Seniors Strength and Fitness classes in Currimundi and Forest Glen run in a circuit style. Each set of exercises is designed to improve base strength to help with everyday tasks.

The classes consist of gentle resistance-based exercises, postural strength, balance and movement.

Our Seniors exercise classes offer safe exercise focusing on maintaining muscle strength and improving bone density and balance without high impact. Maximum of 12 participants per class.

  • Ideal for: Anyone over 50 years old.

  • Locations: Caloundra/Currimundi and Forest Glen.

  • Class length: 50 minutes.

  • Health fund claimable: Yes (if applicable).


Balance and Bones classes

Taught by our Physiotherapist, this class focuses on resistance-based and balance exercises. The class is designed to help to promote the improvement of bone density, balance and coordination in order to prevent falls. If you’re looking for osteoporosis exercises, this class is for you!

Balance and Bones is run in a circuit style but with a specific focus on falls prevention and clients with osteoporosis. Maximum 12 participants.

  • Ideal for: Clients wanting to reduce the risk of falls and improve their bone health.

  • Locations: Caloundra/Currimundi and Forest Glen.

  • Class length: 50 minutes.

  • Health fund claimable: Yes (if applicable).


Teen Strength classes

Our Teen Strength classes in Forest Glen focus on improving co-ordination, strength and mobility during the teenage years. This is vital during this phase of life as sports often dominate their time, and injury can occur. 

Focusing on strength, muscle reaction time, balance and coordination, these classes help to improve postural strength, reduce the risk of injury in sport and teach participants how to safely and effectively exercise as they grow.

  • Ideal for: All teenagers who want to improve strength, mobility and coordination.

  • Locations: Forest Glen only

  • Class length: 50 minutes.

  • Health fund claimable: Yes (if applicable).


Our gym spaces in Currimundi and Forest Glen

We are privileged to have beautiful and functional movement spaces at both our Currimundi and Forest Glen practices. 

With brand-new equipment, private spaces and room to move, each practice has a designated Strength and Fitness gym, open floor space for yoga and mat Pilates and a full Clinical Pilates studio.

Our Strength and Fitness gym space has cardio equipment such as rowing machines and exercise bikes, as well as functional equipment such as battle ropes, slam balls, jump boxes and free weights. We also have strength equipment such as squat racks, bars and benches, kettlebells and dumbells. 

For any individualised classes such as our Group Strength Training classes, we require you to attend an initial consultation to discuss your goals, and any injury, pain or medical conditions before commencing classes. 

Bookings are required for all classes to keep class sizes small.
