What does a nutritionist do?

A nutritionist works to address health concerns and/or optimise an individual’s health status in a variety of circumstances including investigating long-standing complaints and addressing the root cause.

Whilst diet and nutrition lay the foundations, a clinical nutritionist also investigates other aspects of a patient’s health to support treatment. These may include relationship health, family/personal medical history, sleep behaviours, stress management, and mental and emotional health.

Your Embody Movement nutritionist will initially ask questions to gain an in-depth understanding of any presenting complaints, medical history and environmental factors.

Depending on your health goals, further testing (public and private/functional) may be required to inform subsequent treatment plans.
