“Our bodies are structures in motion, shaped by stress, sustained by intention and designed to adapt.”
Eimear Kilgarriff
Women's & Pelvic Physiotherapist |
Clinical Pilates Instructor | Physiotherapist
Eimear is a passionate and internationally experienced physiotherapist with a Master’s in Physiotherapy, full APPI Matwork Pilates certification and women’s and pelvic health physio. Her approach is hands-on, movement-focused and deeply individualised. Before becoming a physiotherapist, Eimear trained in architecture and developed a strong foundation in biomechanics and structural form, an influence that continues to shape her clinical lens today.
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, Eimear has worked across community, private practice, and sports field settings in Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia. She has supported a wide range of clients including athletes, pregnant and postnatal women, those living with chronic pain and people navigating neurological or pelvic health challenges. Eimear brings a strong foundation in exercise-based rehabilitation, with additional training in pelvic health physiotherapy, mobilisations and manipulations, APPI Pilates and dry needling.
She especially enjoys integrating reformer Pilates into treatment and teaches Pilates to help women rebuild strength, control and confidence after birth. Eimear’s approach is personalised, whole-person centred and focused on empowering each client to move freely and live well.
Eimear has completed formal training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and offers evidence-based support for pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, bladder and bowel concerns and sexual health. She also has further training in dry needling, hypermobility management, and clinical Pilates. She integrates manual therapy and Pilates-based movement to support clients through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and beyond. Clients appreciate her ability to create tailored rehabilitation plans and her empathetic, empowering approach to care.
Eimear is available at our Forest Glen practice Monday to Friday.

About Eimear
Eimear’s journey into physiotherapy was a winding but meaningful one. She began her career in architecture and structural engineering, where she gained a deep appreciation for how design and environment shape movement and wellbeing. Over time, her curiosity about how structure functions within the human body led her to physiotherapy.
After completing her Master of Physiotherapy in Ireland, Eimear worked across public and private healthcare systems in Ireland and New Zealand before settling in Australia. Her diverse clinical background includes musculoskeletal, neurological, women’s health, and chronic pain settings. With additional training in pelvic health, Pilates, dry needling, and ergonomics, Eimear brings a calm, analytical, and empowering approach to each patient.
Whether she’s helping a new mum regain pelvic floor strength or supporting someone living with hypermobility, Eimear focuses on restoring function, confidence, and quality of life — through evidence-based care and personalised support.
