
Olivia Assi-Adou
Physiotherapist | Acupuncturist | Clinic Director
Olivia is our resident Canadian physiotherapist with 20 years of experience, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2005. She obtained certification in Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2006.
Her clinical experience is broad and includes sports, geriatrics, post-operative, complex pain and return-to-work programming. Her practice also includes the use of traditional acupuncture and cupping, and she often takes an Eastern approach to her treatment.
Olivia is available at our Forest Glen practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

About Olivia
Olivia has taken numerous post-graduate courses including Charles Kelly Muscle Mobilisation, Mulligan Concept Mobilisations, Neuroproprioceptive taping and more.
In 2009, Olivia volunteered on a non-profit hospital ship in West Africa for seven months, working as the physiotherapist attached to the orthopaedic team as they provided free surgeries.
She has also volunteered as a sports physiotherapist and trainer for Canadian premier men’s rugby, U-16 girls soccer, and the Canadian Gymnastics Championship.
Previously, Olivia took on a leadership role as a Clinic Director at a multidisciplinary health clinic in Leduc, Alberta, Canada, assembling a dream team of physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, occupational therapists, registered psychologists, a traditional acupuncturist and a chiropractor.
Olivia is a proud mum to three, and has continued to homeschool them along with her entrepreneurial husband over the past 4 years. Their family passion is amazing food and international travel.
