Exercise Physiologist | Pilates Instructor

Kristy holds a degree in Exercise Science and is a certified Exercise Physiologist and Pilates instructor. Kristy is committed to supporting patients along their rehabilitation journey and working with them to reach their optimal health and fitness goals.

Kristy has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to professional athletes and is known for her compassionate approach.

Her areas of expertise include strength training, musculoskeletal conditions, bone health (including management of osteoporosis and osteopenia), promoting active ageing and Diabetes management through exercise.

Another area of interest for Kirsty is women’s health including antenatal, postnatal, pelvic floor conditions, menopause and osteoporosis.

Kirsty is available Mondays at Currimundi; and Thursdays and Fridays at Forest Glen.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Exercise Science

  • Bachelor of Biomedical Science

  • Certification in Clinical Pilates Equipment Level 1, 2 and 3

About Kristy

Kristy enjoys using Exercise Physiology and Pilates as a way to encourage patients to feel their best and regain their health and fitness.

After falling in love with Pilates through her own musculoskeletal rehabilitation experience, her passion for Exercise Physiology and Pilates flourished.

Kristy draws on her knowledge and experience to manage her own health and fitness goals. She enjoys participating in many charity events whether it be running a half marathon or an ocean swim event.

Kristy also enjoys yoga, swimming, running and photography. She’s also quite creative, dabbling in art and creating delicious desserts!

My philosophy on Exercise Physiology: Movement is medicine. Creating mindful movements to connect within your body establishes an optimal foundation for daily living.

In my spare time you’ll find me: Taking photographs while out on a nature hike or lazing around the beach with my gorgeous dog. I am also a lover of coffee and enjoy cafe hopping with my family and friends
